A veteran of the tag and label segment of the industry, with C-level experience in both the strategic and financial areas of organizational responsibility, Tom Cobery brings a seasoned insider’s perspective to a wide range of issues faced by companies in this important sector.

Tom provides a variety of services for tag and label packaging company executives, including CEO coaching, merger and acquisition advisory services, strategic assessments, and financial analysis.

His experience has made him acutely aware of the frontline issues and management concerns unique to the tag and label sector, and how to address them successfully. For more than 30 years, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of a label company. He was CEO and President of Label Art, Inc. from 1981 to 2000, and CEO and President of Aladdin Label, Inc. from 2000 to 2011. Prior to those positions, he was Chief Financial Officer of Orion Research, Inc., and a Senior Accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. Tom has been a part of the NAPL team since 2011.

He also served as President of the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute from 1998 to 2000, and as a member of the Institute’s Board of Directors from 1990 to 2000.

Aladdin is a manufacturer, printer, and packager of pressure-sensitive labels, located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, whose annual revenues grew under his leadership from $3 million in 2000 to $11 million at the end of 2010, when its assets were sold to Repacorp, Inc. an Ohio-based company. Label Art is a Wilton, New Hampshire, company that manufactures and prints pressure-sensitive labels. Tom joined Label Art as its Chief Financial Officer in 1981, when it had annual revenues of $5 million, and became its CEO and President in 1986. During his tenure, revenues grew to more than $50 million and grew to include four manufacturing facilities in New Hampshire, Georgia, California, and Arkansas.

Tom is a 1972 graduate of Bentley College, where he received a B.S. Degree in Accountancy cum laude. He previously served as a Hospital Corpsman on active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1970.
